Abstract

Background: Low self-esteem is a negative feeling towards oneself, loss of selfconfidence, low self-esteem and meaninglessness in a prolonged period of time. Signs and symptoms that appear are negative self-assessment, lack of eye contact, lethargy, speak softly. Gardening therapy as an effort to increase self-esteem and improve abilities in gardening. Objective: To provide an overview of nursing care to clients with low self-esteem by doing positive gardening activities. Methods: This scientific paper was descriptive with a case study approach. Data obtained by interview, observation and documentation. In 3 clients with low selfesteem problems, who had met the inclusion criteria. The instruments are used gardening tools and materials, forms of signs and symptoms of low self-esteem, gardening therapy ability sheets and gardening therapy SOPs. Results: The evaluation was carried out after being given nursing care for 5 meetings, showing a decrease in signs and symptoms of HDRK in client 1 score 12 to 3 (difference 9), client 2 score 12 to 4 (difference 8) and client 3 score 12 to (difference) difference 7). The results obtained were the highest decrease in signs and symptoms, namely client 1 with a difference of 9. Recommendation: Gardening therapy can be used for clients with chronic low self-esteem and can be applied both in the sinaraso shelter and in the community.
