Abstract
Background: Auditory hallucinations are unreal sounds that occur in patients with mental disorders, there are several ways that can reduce the symptoms of hallucinations, one of which is by did drawing activities that can control hallucinatory symptoms effectively because it works by diverted attention from hallucinations. Objective: To provided an overview of mental nursing care for clients with sensory perception disorders and auditory hallucinations by applied the 4 Modified Implementation Strategy with drawing activities. Methods: This study used a descriptive approach, by collected data through interviews, observation and documentation. Respondents were took as many as 3 patients, with the criteria of patients with auditory hallucinations and like to draw. This research was conducted for 30 minutes in 5 meetings. The instruments used writing utensils, drawing books, colored pencils or crayons. Results: Interventions that had been carried out are provided implementation strategies and individual drawing therapy. In 5 meetings it can be concluded that the decrease in signs and symptoms in P1 with a pre score of 75% to 0%, P2 a pre score of 85% to 14%, P3 a pre score of 100% to 28%. The improvement of the three patients in did individual therapy activities was drawing with a post score of 100%. Recommendation: Dosaraso Kebumen Shelter House can apply this therapy as part of the client's activities and also for the client's non-pharmacological therapy.
