Abstract

Background: Auditory hallucinations are sounds that are not real. Auditory hallucinations exist when the individual hears whispers or sounds that others do not hear. In patients with hallucinations, nursing care is required Objective: Knowing the description of Nursing Care in Patients with Sensory Perception Disorders: Auditory Hallucinations at Dosaraso Mental Shelter Kebumen Methods: The nursing care process was carried out for 6 meetings with a duration of 45 minutes for each patient using a descriptive method with a case study approach to 3 patients. Data were obtained through an assessment of signs and symptoms of hallucinations using the instrument for observing signs and symptoms as well as the ability to perform individual therapy and group activity therapy. The instruments used are the nursing care format, SOP, observation sheets for signs and symptoms of hallucinations, ability observation sheets Results: The nursing care process resulted in a decrease in signs and symptoms before and after individual therapy and group activity therapy was highest in patient 2 with a score of 10 to 5, as well as increased ability to perform individual therapy and group activity therapy in patient 2 with a score of 3 and after given individual therapy to 12 an increase in group activity therapy ability from the initial score of 1 to 4 Recommendation: provide a combination of individual therapy and group activity therapy is effective to serve as a standard of nursing care in hallucinating patients
