Abstract
Background: Stroke is a clinical symptom that develops rapidly, worsens, lasts 24 hours or more and causes death in the form of local and comprehensive neurological diseases, there is no other cause than vascular. One of the complications of stroke is the presence of disorders of cerebral circulation characterized by insufficiency of the oxygen supply of cerebral tissues. The risk of ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion is a condition that risks a decrease in cerebral tissue circulation which can have an impact on health. The application of a 30° head elevation applied to stroke patients will reduce the increase in cerebral perfusion characterized by an increase in oxygen saturation values. Objective: The purpose of the study was to determine the picture of nursing care with the problem of the risk of ineffectiveness of cerebral tissue perfusion with the application of head elevation of 30°. Method: This study used a case study method that was conducted on three patients for three days. Result: Actions that have been carried out in the form of a head elevation of 30° obtained oxygen saturation values in the three patients increased which was carried out for 30 minutes in 3 days. The first patient's oxygen saturation value increased from 95% to 99%, the second patient's oxygen saturation value increased from 92% to 99%, the third patient's oxygen saturation value increased from 95% to 99%. In the evaluation carried out for three days, it can be concluded that the oxygen saturation value increases after the action of 30° elevation. Recommendation: The action of the elevation of the head can be used as an alternative to non-pharmacological measures in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with a decrease in oxygen saturation.
