Abstract

Background: Dysmenorhea is abdominal pain that occurs during menstruation which is often experienced by adolescebts caused by increase in prostaglandin that triggered the uterine contractions that caused the pain. To cope with this, there are non-pharmacological alternatives, such as lavender aromatherapy because it contains the active substances linalool and linalyl that function as analgesics and tumeric acid herb contains curcumin and anthocyaninns also function as analgesics and anti-inflammatory to reduce dysmenorrhea pain. Objective: To apply a combination of used aromatherapy lavender and tumeric acid herb to reduce dysmenorrhea pain in adolescents at PMB Diana Yulita S.Tr. Keb Method: The method used descriptive analysis with case study designed, with data collection techniques used observation sheets and literature studied. Participants in this case studied were 3 adolescents who experienced dysemnorrhea pain who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: The pain scale before the application was on a pain scale of 6, and scale after applying a combination of aromatherapy lavender and tumeric acid herb for 2 days showed a decreaseed in the dysmenorrhea pain scale in adolescents. Conclusion: The combination of lavender aromatherapy and tumeric acid herb can be used to reduce dysmenorrhea pain, with decrease in the range 2 pain scale.
