Abstract
Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the efforts to reduce the infant mortality in Indonesia. Less milk production will disturb the breastfeeding process. This is the reason why a mother does not breastfeed her child exclusively. The percentage of 6 month-exclusive breastfeeding was 49.5% in 2011. Based on the data of Health Department Office of Kebumen, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding was 54.6% in 2012. It is still low considering the target of exclusive breastfeeding at 80 % (Depkes Kebumen, 2011). Oxytocin massage is a solution to overcome the worse flow of milk production. Oxytocin massage is done to stimulate the let down reflex and oxytocin reflex. The result of a study showed that listening to verses of Holly Qur’an may give an effect to bring calmness and to lower the nervous tension. (Remolda, 2009) Objective: Applying oxytocin massage to expedite milk production and murotall Qur'an relaxation to give a sense of relaxation to Mrs. S, a 29 year-old mother with P2A0 in private midwifery clinic of Ida Ayu Astiti at Bandung Sruni, Kebumen. Method: This scientific paper is a qualitative descriptive with the type of case studies. Data collection method is by collecting using primary data (interviews and observations) and secondary data (literary study and documentation). Result: After having oxytocin massage and murotall Al Qur’an relaxation, the milk production of Mrs. S was flowing fluently. Conclusion: Massage oxytocin and murotall Qur'an relaxation are the ways to expedite the milk production.
