Abstract
Background: Up to now, Indonesia is still in the position 5 of the largest population countries in the world. The government always tries to decrease the number of the population, and one of the ways is by implementing family planning program scope 75,88% in 2013. Most of the acceptors use short-term contraception methods 63,48%, the acceptors use short-term contraception methods 12,4%. Though those methods are the ones that in fact largely contribute the number of drop ous. Because of the large number of drop outs using the short term contraception method, the active acceptors are then suggested to use long-term contraception methods. Efforts to improve the long term contraception method with counseling using a paperback book. This counseling is done on the short term contraception method in hopes of switching to use Long Term Contraception Method. Objective: To implement midwifery care for Mrs. S (24 years old) with PIAhI by giving counseling on using pocket book in long-term contraception methods in “Restu Bunda” Delivery Clinic at Selokerto, Sempor, Kebumen. Method: This scientific paper is case study. The data was obtained from primary data and secondary data. The data was then analyzed through three stages – reduction, presentation and conclusions. Result: After having counseling on long-term contraception method by using a pocket book, Mrs. S is interested in using the implant contraceptive. This will be conducted on the date of injection. Conclusion: The use of media pocket book in the long-term contraceptive method counseling towards Mrs. S is less effective. But the one by conducting the intensive approach counseling is more effective. Finally Mrs. S chose implant as her contraceptive and it will be conducted on the date of injection.
