Abstract
Background : Birth by cesarean section is very influential on breastfeeding. The plan from the Ministry of Health aims to increase the target of exclusive breastfeeding at least 80% every year. However, exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is actually still low at 74.5%). One of the causes of the low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is the production of breast milk in the early stages of breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding does not run optimally due to several factors, including lack of knowledge of mothers about breastfeeding, working mothers, lack of family and environmental support. Health professionals who participate directly in childbirth have not been sufficient to facilitate the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) and exclusive breastfeeding. Objective: To describe the analysis of nursing care of post partum sectio caesarea patients with the implementation of oxytocin massage using lavender oil on ineffective breastfeeding nursing problem. Method: The research approach of this final paper is through a case study of five post partum sectio caesaria patients who have ineffective breastfeeding problem and oxytocin massage using lavender oil is carried out 2 times a day for 2 days. Results: based on the results of the assessment of 5 patients found that the main nursing problem was ineffective breastfeeding, after the oxytocin massage nursing treatment using lavender oil showed that 4 of 5 patients were breastfed smoothly. Recommendation: This study can be used as reference for further research and the treatment can be applied in handling ineffective breastfeeding of post sectio caesarea mothers.
