Abstract

Background, Diabetes is a significant common medical condition, being one of the four non-communicable diseases that the world's pioneers need to pay attention to. The number of cases and the spread of diabetes has continued to increase over the past few years. The discomfort of diabetic ulcers in people with diabetes mellitus can affect their self-image. Self-idea is divided into five parts, specifically self-perception, self-ideal, self-confidence, self-personality, and self-work. In patients with diabetic ulcers, the part of the self that is most disturbing is the singular self-perception. Self-perception is a person's attitude towards his body, whether intentional or not, including execution, body potential, as well as sensitivity and feelings about body size and shape. Signs and indications of individuals experiencing problems with self-perception, General purpose, able to analyze nursing care in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with nursing problems with body image disorders at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method, The method used in this research is to use an observation sheet for signs and symptoms of body image disorders. Evaluation result, the results of the intervention that had been carried out on the five patients showed a decrease in signs and symptoms of body image disorders experienced by patients. In the first patient there was a significant decrease from number 10 to number 2, in patient 2 from number 12 to 1, in the third patient from number 12 to number 1, in the fourth patient from number 13 to number 3, in the fifth patient from number 13 becomes number 2. This indicates that the actions that have been taken at 4x meetings have shown success in reducing signs and symptoms of body image disorders in patients. RecommendationIt is hoped that further research will be further developed in terms of sources and references, and it is also hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for treating patients with body image disorders.
