Abstract

Background: In Indonesia the percentage of the elderly population has increased every year. In Central Java in 2020 the percentage of the elderly is 12.15%, this shows that a high number of elderly people will be at risk for the health level of the elderly, for that it is necessary to do a study to know what are the family support that can affect the level of anxiety in the elderly who are treated in the isolation room of RSUD Dr. Tjitrowardojo Purworejo. Objective: to describe the results of nursing care for the elderly with anxiety who were treated in the isolation room at Trijtrowardojo Hospital, Purworejo. Method: The method used in this study, using a descriptive method. The data collection tool uses an observation sheet and an anxiety level assessment with HARS (Hamilton rating scale for anxiety). Result: : the assessment and analysis of the data obtained by the nursing diagnosis of anxiety, the actions taken by providing family support to the patient before getting the drug. Evaluation of nursing actions to 5 patients showed that all of them experienced a decrease in anxiety levels Conclusion:. There is a decrease in anxiety in patients before and after providing support by the family.
