Abstract

Background : Cough and shortness of breath are signs of acute respiratory infection in toddlers. Giving honey can have an effect on the frequency of rapid breathing, decrease and eliminate ronkhi, because honey has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. Research Objectives: To analyze nursing care analysis through honey giving in acute respiratory infection patients with nursing problems of ineffective respiratory cleanliness Methods: This type of research is a case report with a sample of toddlers aged 2-4 years, who experienced acute respiratory infections as many as 5 people at the Sempor 1 Health Center. The intervention was given 1 time per day for 3 days, with a dose of 10 ml of honey dissolved in 50 ml of honey. ml of warm water. The measuring instruments used are a stethoscope and a watch. Results: therapy with honey can reduce respiratory rate, and eliminate ronkhi. Conclusion: The results of this study can be concluded that giving honey to toddlers with acute respiratory infections has an effect on the frequency that is fast, decreases and eliminates rhonchi. Suggestion: Future researchers are expected to be able to overcome ineffective airway clearance in toddlers with acute respiratory infections using other complementary therapies.
