Abstract
Background: Typhoid fever is an infection that occurs in the small intestine and is common in tropical countries. Typhoid is characterized by various clinical symptoms such as diarrhea and fever. Warm compresses are effective in reducing fever in Typhoid. In nursing, there are various forms of spiritually complementary therapies to change moods and also speed up recovery, not least in cases of fever, one of which is reading the Qur'an. Objective: To provide nursing care using a combination of warm compresses and murottal al- qur'an in typhoid patients with hyperthermia at RSUD dr. Soedirman Kebumen Method: descriptive with a case study approach. The case study subjects that will be studied are 5 typhoid patients with hyperthermia. The tools in this study were the nursing care format, the Nursing Kit, the SOP for the combination of warm compresses and murottal al-qur'an, the format for assessing signs of hyperthermia. Presentation of data that the author does by drawing conclusions based on subjective and objective data, which is presented in the documentation method and nursing care resume Results: The results of the study showed that the five patients had the same main complaint as the body felt hot. Priority nursing diagnosis in Patients I-V is hyperthermia associated with increased metabolic rate. Nursing interventions carried out were hyperthermia management (I.15506) and a combination of warm compresses and murottal al-qur'an. The nursing implementation carried out was hyperthermia management (I.15506) and a combination of warm compresses and murottal alqur'an. The results of the nursing evaluation on the five patients showed a decrease in temperature after the combination of warm compresses and murottal al-qur'an in typhoid patients with hyperthermia was 0.8℃-2.8. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of SOPs for handling hyperthermia using the combination method of warm compresses andmurottal al-qur'an
