Abstract

Background, The non-compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets is still a serious problem for the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). Obedience of pregnant women is related to the level of knowledge where the lower knowledge causes the available iron is not consumed optimally. Adimulyo Community Health Center in September 2021 was reported data on the target of giving iron tablets at Adimulyo Community Health Center by 55.2% based on an estimate or 320 pregnant women out of a total target of 580 pregnant women from January-August 2021. Research Objectives, Knowing the relationship between the level of knowledge with the level of compliance in pregnant women in consuming iron tablets at the Adimulyo Community Health Center. Research Methods, The research method was observational analysis with a cross-sectional design. The sample obtained 55 pregnant women was taken using purposive sampling technique. The data were processed using SPSS- 18 and analyzed by the Spearman rank test. Research Result, The results showed knowledge of pregnant women majority had good knowledge such as 58.2%, 21.8% was sufficient, 20.0% was less. The level of compliance of pregnant women is known to be 36.4% non-compliant, 32.7% obedient and 30.9% very obedient. From the results of the Spearman Correlation test, it was found that p = 0.002 (p <0.05) with a value of r = 0.401 so that there was a relationship between knowledge and the level of compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets. Conclusion, There is a relationship between knowledge and the level of compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets. Recommendation: For Community Health Center it is suggested to improve health promotion programs to the community, especially pregnant women about the importance of compliance in consuming iron tablets regularly.
