Abstract

Background: This scientific paper is based on data obtained from various literature sources which state that the RINDU relaxation technique is a non-pharmacological therapy. This relaxation technique is used to overcome the problem of episiotomy pain in spontaneous postpartum mothers. Objective: To describe nursing care with episiotomy pain problems in spontaneous postpartum mothers with the RINDU relaxation technique at Purwogondo General Hospital. Methods: This scientific paper is a case study, using a descriptive method that collects data by means of interviews, observations, physical examinations, documentation, and data collection. The case study subjects were spontaneous postpartum mothers with episiotomy wound pain, totaling 3 respondents based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, nursing care was carried out for three days at Purwogondo General Hospital, using observation sheets and SOPs for RINDU relaxation techniques, and NRS sheets to measure pain scales. Results: After applying the RINDU relaxation technique for three days, it was found that there was a decrease in the pain scale in the three respondents. Conclusion: The RINDU relaxation technique is able to reduce the pain scale in episiotomy wound pain patients. Recommendation: Patients are advised to perform the RINDU relaxation technique independently to reduce the pain scale so that the symptoms do not reappear.
