Abstract

Background: Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition in which the prostate gland is enlarged, extends upward into the bladder and obstructs the flow of urine by closing the urethral orifice, and some patients complain of difficulty sleeping after surgery. Objectives: The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to describe the results of the analysis of nursing care in the application of murottal therapy from Ar- Rahman's letter and deep breathing to improve sleep quality in patients with benign prostate hyperplasia at Prof.Dr.Margono Soekarjo Hospital. Methods: This research method uses descriptive method. Descriptive method is a research that describes an object or event that aims to find out the current situation. Results: The results obtained during 3 meetings were treated that the five patients experienced changes. The five patients experienced a decrease in disturbed sleep patterns, namely the patient said his sleep quality was better, he slept longer, rarely woke up when he slept, it was easy to start sleeping and felt that his sleep was of good quality. Conclusion: The conclusion from the research that has been done is that the provision of deep breathing therapy and murottal Ar-Rahman letters has a very good effect on improving sleep quality in patients with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia at Prof.Dr.Margono Soekarjo Hospital. Recommendations for further researchers: It is hoped that further research can develop this research as a reference for conducting other non-pharmacological therapies in patients with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia.
