Abstract

being chest pain. Chest pain in STEMI can be overcome by using pharmacological or non-pharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be done to reduce chest pain is using foot hand massage which aims to reduce the intensity of the chest pain scale from mild to moderate. Objective: To describe the analysis of nursing care in ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarct (STEMI) patients with the main nursing problem of acute pain. Methods: This research uses a case study method. The subjects of this study were patients with STEMI according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Nursing Care Outcomes: The five patients had a top priority nursing diagnosis, namely acute pain associated with physiological injury agents. Intervention with the aim of improving pain control based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standard (SLKI) and using pain management based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standard (SIKI). The actions given are pain management and providing foot hand massage as a nonpharmacological therapy which is carried out with a duration of 15 minutes once a day for 3 consecutive days. The nursing evaluation for the five patients was that the pain had not been resolved and there was a significant decrease in pain levels with a pain scale range of 2-3 Conclusion: There is an effect of giving foot hand massage therapy to reducing pain scales in STEMI patients. Recommendationi: Foot hand massage is very good for patients with ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarct (STEMI) as a therapy to reduce acute pain
