Abstract

Background, covid-19 is a pandemic infection that was originally caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV2). Children are susceptible to contact with close relatives and demographically susceptible to cross-infection. Objectives, to determine the relationship between the factors causing the incidence of covid-19 in infants in the Amanah room of the PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods, this study usesd a quantitative descriptive method with a case control. Results, as many as 12 infants (18%) were confirmed to have covid -19, the results of the correlative analysis showed that there was no relationship between age and the incidence of covid -19 in infants with p value 0.634 (> 0.05). There is no relationship between gender and the incidence of covid-19 in infants p value 0.106 (> 0.005). There is a relationship between maternal status and the incidence of covid -19 in infants, p value 0.002 (<0.005). there is no relationship between family history and the incidence of covid-19 in infants p value 0.635 (> 0.005). there is no relationship between comorbidities and the incidence of covid-19 in infants p value 0.947 (> 0.05). Conclusion, there is no relationship between age, gender, family history and comorbidities with the incidence of covid -19 in infants. There is a relationship between the status of the mother and the incidence of covid -19 in infants in the Amanah room of the PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital.
