Abstract

Background: Toddler period is an important period in the growth and development of children because toddlerhood will determine the development of children in the future. The participation of mothers of children under five is the active participation of mothers of children under five or members of the community at various levels of activities and posyandu agendas. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021, the number of visits by mothers under five who visit Posyandu continues to increase by 73.86%. Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between the participation of mothers of children under five with growth and development of toddlers at the Posyandu, Karangpetir Village, Tambak Banyumas Research Methods: This study uses a correlational quantitative method with a crosssectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique and obtained a sample of 80 respondents. Collecting data using the KPSP questionnaire and the participation of mothers of children under five. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis using chi square test. Research Results: The results of this study indicate that the majority of mothers under five are 66 people (82.5%). While the growth and development of toddlers according to a number of 59 respondents (73.8%). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the participation of mothers under five with growth and development of toddlers, with p-value (0.000) (<0.05). Recommendation: For further researchers, it is hoped that they can examine the motivation and participation of mothers of toddlers.
