Abstract
Background: Parents are the most important people in helping children because the main environment for children is the family environment. Supporting, nurturing, and teaching children at home is the commitment of each parent. The role of parents becomes important when children start learning at home. Parents have many obstacles in helping their children study at home. Parents have admitted that they really think that it is difficult to control their son or daughter while studying at home Objective: To find out the role and constraints of parents in offline learning assistance after online learning during the pandemic at Kalipuru Pujotirto Elementary School Methods: Descriptive quantitative with a survey approach. The population that will be taken in this study were 266 parents of students. The author took data from 74 people who were taken by simple random sampling. The instrument or measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively Results: Parents have a good category role in mentoring learning (74.3%). Parents have a severe category of obstacles in learning assistance (82.4%). Recommendation: For schools, it is expected to create an educational program for parents (parenting school) to support parents in accompanying children during learning at home and increase parents' basic knowledge and insight about children's education.
