Abstract
Background: WHO has declared Covid-19 to be an epidemic or pandemic for the whole world. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of deaths due to COVID-19 between January 2020 and May 2021 reached 3.45 million. Based on data compiled by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force as of October 13, 2020, comorbid or congenital diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus were most commonly found in COVID-19 patients who died. People with Diabetes Mellitus must avoid factors that are a risk factor for Covid- 19. Objective: To describe the level of compliance of people with diabetes mellitus in complying with health protocols as a comorbid and at risk group for Covid-19 at the Kutoarjo Blue Cross Hospital polyclinic. Methods: This type of research uses descriptive research. A sample of 54 DM patients was taken using a total sampling technique. Results: The characteristics of respondents with comorbid DM in the polyclinic of the Palang Biru Kutoarjo Hospital were mostly aged 56-65 years with a total of 29 respondents (53.7%) and 32 respondents (59.3%) female. The level of compliance using masks is 59.3%, the level of compliance in washing hands is 51.9%, the level of compliance with maintaining distance is 53.7%. Conclusion: The level of compliance of people with diabetes mellitus in complying with the Covid-19 health protocol at the Kutoarjo Blue Cross Hospital polyclinic is mostly good. Recommendations for further researchers: expand this study by adding factors that affect the level of adherence to health protocols in comorbid and Covid-19 risk groups
