Abstract
Background: Delivey pain is a part of normal delivery process. The mother has to relieve the pain in childbirth. So delivery pain management can be applied pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Non pharmacological approach is done without the use of drugs. One of the applications of non-pharmacological pain management is counterperssure back massage technique. Objective: Conducting midwifery care for Mrs. U by applying counterpressure massage on her back to reduce pain in stage I delivery. Method: This scientific paper is a descriptive qualitative with case study approach. Tools and data collection using a pain Numerical Rating Scales (NRS). The data was ananlyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Result: After having counterpressure, the labor pain of Mrs. U was decreasing during stage I delivery process.
