Abstract

Backgound: Fever is an infection process that attacks the immune system. The fever incidence in the children group reaches 7,3%. The complication of fever makes children’s body temperature increase. It can affect happened febrile convulsions in children. Therefore, the parents need the information about sign and symtoms, decision making, taking care, modifying the environment, and utilization of health services to prevent the complications of fever in the toddler stage. Objective : To find out family health functioning fever treatment on toddlers’ stage at Posyandu Argasoka Village of Banjarnegara District. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. The research samples were taken using purposive sampling with a total of eighty respondents. The research instrument used family role questionnaire. Results: Based on the results of the study that the family who recognized about signs and symtoms of toddler fever were in the good category (73 respondents or 91,3%), the good category decisions making (74 respondents or 92,2%), providing health care in the good category (68 respondents or 85,0%), modifying the health environment in the good category (66 respondents or 82,5%), and utilization of health service in the good category (62 respondents or 77,5%). Conclusion : The family health functioning fever treatment on toddlers’ stage at Posyandu Argasoka Village of Banjarnegara District was in a good category. Recommendation: The result of this study will be necessary to conduct research related to the factors that effect family function.
