Abstract

Introduction, a leadership style is behaviour in conducting subordinates that aims to connect the organization's goals with the goals of each individual to achieve a purpose, and executives can use that style to evaluate the employees or subordinates. Nursing is a host of nursing activities that give nursing care to patients. Purpose, the purpose of this study is to know the relationship between the head of room leadership style and a nurse's performance at the PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng hospital. Methods used a quantitative work with correlation research design. Coronary research is one that aims to see if there is any and how far the invention of correlation between two or more variables. This design uses a section approach. The sample in this study numbered 59 respondents. Results, based on analysis already done using the Kendall tau-b test with version 26-0 SPSS program, it was obtained results that p value was 0,000 (less than 0.05), which means there is a link between the director's leadership style and a nurse's performance at PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng hospital. The statistical test results using the Kendall tau-b test, the correlation value of 0716, which means a strong correlation. Conclusion, the leadership style employed by the space head at PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng hospital affected the performance of the nurse Recommendation, it is hoped that further studies may add research variables by using other factors that can affect nurse performance.
