Abstract

Background, Hypertension is a disorder of the blood vessels that causes the supply of oxygen, nutrients to be inhibited to the tissues of the body. Efforts, that can be made with pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy. Objective, Knowing the relationship between physical activity and adherence to taking medications with blood pressure in people with hypertension at the Posyandu of Wonorejo village. Methods, Quantitative research with Cross Sectional approach. The total sample was 43 respondents with hypertension. Using the GPAQ questionnaire and the MMAS questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis using Kendall Tau. Multivariate analysis using Multiple Linear Regression. Research Result, The result of the relationship between physical activity and blood pressure is p = 0.000 with a value of r = -0.726. The result of the relationship between the adherence of taking the drug with blood pressure is p = 0.000 with a value of r = -0.851. The results of the multivariate analysis (R2) = 0.810 mean that the level of strength of the relationship between physical activity and adherence to taking medications with blood pressure has a strong relationship.. Conclusion, There was a significant relationship between physical activity and drug compliance with blood pressure with hypertension at the Posyandu of Wonorejo village. Having a strong and negative relationship means that the higher the physical activity and drug compliance, the lower the degree of blood pressure in people with hypertension. Recommendation, For further researchers, it is hoped that this study can be used as a consideration and learning so that it can be developed again, especially regarding the relationship between physical activity and adherence to taking medications with blood pressure in people with hypertension.
