Abstract
Background: Mental health is a very significant health problem and affects the lives of individuals and those around them, families who care for family members with mental disorders has their own problems, both problems found internally or problems found from external. So it requires good coping skills, or good resilience skills to deal with pressure or problems from unpleasant circumstances. Research Objectives: To determine the resilience of families who care for family members with mental disorders at Sumpiuh Community Health Center II. Research Methods: This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach using research instruments in the form of in-depth interview observations to 5 (five) participants conducted 2 times in meetings with a duration of 20-30 minutes and using data validity tests in the form of credibility test, transferability test , dependability, and confirm ability. Research Results: The results of this study obtained 3 themes, namely aspects of resilience that cover 3 categories, namely analyzing the source of problems when caring for members with mental disorder problem solving when caring for family members with mental disorder, the process of achieving acceptance of family members with mental disorder, theme two in the form of Factors that affect resilience include 3 categories, namely internal support factors, external support factors and spirituality, and the third theme is family dynamics in caring for family members with mental disorders which includes 2 categories, namely problems received by families from the community, family expectations in caring for family members with mental disorders with mental disorder. Recommendation: This study is recommended to families who care for family members with mental disorders with the hope that families will continue to provide support in caring for members with mental disorder and families will make more use of the closest health worker facilities.
