Abstract

Background: Hypertension is the number one that caused of death in the world every year. One of the things that need attention from the management of hypertension is the stability of blood pressure. Family support, according to several panelists, plays an important role in achieving blood type stability. Chronic Disease Management Program, is a Chronic Disease Service Program that aims to achieve an optimal quality of life. There are 46 members of the hypertension at the Kemiri Community Health Center. Objective: To find out whether there is a relationship between family support and blood pressure stability in members of the prolanis with hypertension at Kemiri Community Health Center, Purworejo Regency. Methods: This type of descriptive correlational research with cross sectional time approach. The populations in this study were all members of prolanis, people with hypertension at the Kemiri Community Health Center with a total sample of 46 people. The research instruments were questionnaires and blood pressure measuring devices. Data were analyzed using chi square test. Results: The calculation results show that from 46 respondents, the age with the highest frequency is between 60-69 years, namely 21 people (45.65%), female sex 29 people (63.04%), Education with the highest frequency is Senior High School (47.83% ), and most had no complications (63.04%). Family support for members of the prolanis with hypertension at Kemiri Community Health Center is mostly in the sufficient category. The blood pressure of prolanis sufferers of hypertension, at Kemiri Community Health Center is mostly stable. Hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant relationship between family support and blood pressure stability in members of the prolanis with hypertension at Kemiri Community Health Center, Purworejo Regency (p=0.009) Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between family support and blood pressure stability. Recommendation: It is recommended in the next research to use primary data by measuring blood pressure, as well as controlling factors that affect blood pressure.
