Abstract

Background: Typhoid fever cases in Kebumen Regency are always included in the top five diseases, with the highest number of hospitalizations in the first place, for 4 consecutive years (2007-2010). hospitalized from May to June 2021 patients who experienced typhoid fever 90 patients, the most common feeling was an increase in body temperature or fever. Objective: To analyze the effect of applying aloe vera compresses in reducing fever in patients with typhoid fever. Research Methods this research is a quantitative research method. By using Quasi Experimental, with a pretest-posttest research design with control group design., with a population of all inpatients, using purposive sampling technique. The number of samples is 30 patients. Data collection using univariate. The results of the study: the results of the study of the characteristics of the control group and the intervention group were the majority of respondents aged 6-12 years, the temperature in the intervention group was 37,493 the control group was 37.336, after the action of giving aloevera compresses, the majority of respondents body temperature was 36,9 as many as 7 people (33.3%). The difference in body temperature before and after giving aloevera compresses is 0.58 In conclusion, the conclusion of this study is the effect of aloe vera compresses in lowering body temperature in typhoid fever patients
