Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has become the attention of worldwide attention. Efforts to break the chain of COVID-19 require a good understanding and enough knowledge from all elements, including the community. Health education is needed to increase peoples’ knowledge in order to prevent of the COVID-19 transmission. Objective: To describe the knowledge levels of orphanage students about signs and symptoms and preventive of COVID-19. Methods: This research is descriptive quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. A sample of 33 respondents joined in this study. The frequency table showed the result of the survey. Result: Most of the respondents’ knowledge of COVID-19 signs and symptoms were in a good category (39.4%), respondents’ knowledge of COVID-19 transmission was moderate category (45.5%), and respondents’ knowledge of COVID-19 prevention was good category (63.6%). Conclusion: Most of the respondents’ knowledge of COVID-19 signs and symptoms and prevention was a good category. Then respondents’ knowledge of COVID-19 transmission was a moderate category. Recommendation: Further researchers can examine others variables like behaviour and practice of COVID-19 prevention.
