Abstract

Background : Fracture or fracture is a condition where the normal continuity of a bone tissue is broken. Fractures can occur in all parts of the bone, both the upper and lower extremities which can be caused by accidents, be it work accidents, traffic accidents, trauma/forced horses or physical exertion, and so on which is determined by the type and extent of the fracture. One of the orthopedic surgery that can be done is open reduction using internal fixation (Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) which aims to maintain bone fragments in position until bone healing improves. After ORIF surgery, patients will feel severe pain due to skeletal trauma and surgery performed on muscles, bones, or joints. Pain after surgery has severe pain intensity with a duration of 3 days. Non-pharmacological management is management to relieve pain using aromatherapy techniques is lavender. When lavender aromatherapy is inhaled, volatile will bring aromatic elements that will stimulate memory and emotional responses that cause feelings of calm and relaxation and can facilitate blood flow General Purpose : Explaining the Analysis of Nursing Care in Post ORIF Patients with Main Nursing Problems Acute Pain with AP Location of Lavender Aromatherapy in Barokah Room of RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Nursing Care Results: From the results of nursing care for the five patients, it was found that the administration of lavender aromatherapy was effective in reducing acute pain in post-ORIF patients. The success rate of lavender aromatherapy is also in line with previous researchers who also found that giving lavender aromatherapy helped reduce acute pain in post-ORIF patients Recommendations: Future researchers are expected to be able to examine the use of non-pharmacological lavender aromatherapy therapy to overcome acute pain nursing problems in other medical diagnoses.
