Abstract
Background: Posyandu activities are going well will provide convenience for the elderly in getting basic health care, so that the quality of life in old age is maintained properly and optimally. In carrying posyandu there are often obstacles often faced elderly in participating in posyandu activities include elderly low knowledge about the benefits of neighborhood health center, family support, and Posyandu staff attitude is not good. Objective: To identify factors that influence the utilization of Posyandu in Tanjungmeru, Kutowinangun, Kebumen. Methods: This study used a correlation method with cross sectional approach. Sample of 32 elderly. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlation analysis using chi square test. Results: This study resulted in the finding that there is the influence of knowledge about Posyandu on the utilization of Posyandu (p = 0.002). There is the influence attitudes about Posyandu on the utilization of Posyandu (p = 0.017). No influence of the role of health workers to the Posyandu utilization (p = 0.450). There is the influence of family support on the utilization of Posyandu (p = 0.001). Family support is the most dominant factor that affects the use of Posyandu. Elderly family support both categories likely to utilize Posyandu 20 times greater than the elderly with enough family support category.
