Abstract
Background: Indonesia is a country located in Southeast Asia. This archipelagic country has 16,056 islands in 2017. The latest data was presented by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) and the Geospatial Information Agency at the United Nations Geographical Names Expert Group meeting in New York.Kebumen Regency itself, considering the geographical location of Kebumen Regency on the south side where it is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean, has a coastline of 57.5 kilometers, stretching from Mirit District to Ayah District, so the risk of marine accidents is quite high.Syafi'i & Clive, (2016) stated that almost 90% of drowning people in Indonesia did not get proper help. Research purposes : This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between consultation and simulation of knowledge and basic life support skills at Pokdarwis in Lembupurwo Village, Mirit District, Kebumen Regency. Research methods : This research is a research quasi-experimental by using a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 25 respondents and used the Mann Whitney statistical test. Research result : There is a significant relationship between pre-test and post-test knowledge after basic life support counseling is carried out pThere is a tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) in Lembupurwo Village, Mirit District, Kebumen Regency ( value = 0.000 p<0.05 ). There is a significant relationship between pre-test and post-test skills after simulating basic life support pThere is a tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) in Lembupurwo Village, Mirit District, Kebumen Regency ( value = 0.000 p<0.05 ) Conclusion :The Relationship between Counseling and Simulation of Basic Life Support on Knowledge and Skills in Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) in Lembupurwo Village, Mirit District, Kebumen Regency, namely there is a relationship between Extension Counseling and Simulation of Basic Life Support on Knowledge and Skills in Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) in Lembupurwo Village, District Mirit Kebumen Regency Recommendations for further research : For further researchers who have a theme related to this research, it is expected to add tools in the implementation of research interventions.
