Abstract

Knowledge and pregnancy of pregnant women at risk for possible harm or mild/severe complications that cause death, illness, or disability, in the mother/infant which can occur during the prenatal, intranatal and postnatal periods. Objective: To determine the relationship between age, education level, occupation, gravida status, history of ANC, and exposure to information with knowledge of pregnant women regarding preeclampsia in pregnancy at the Kuwarasan Health Center. Method: This type of research is quantitative using a cross-sectional method processed using the SPSS 26 data analysis program. A total sample of 83 pregnant women according to inclusion criteria, was carried out in January 2023. Results: Most of the pregnant women at the Kuwarasan Health Center have good knowledge 53.0% about preeclampsia. Most of the mothers were aged 20-35 years (61.4%), secondary education (49.4%), working (59%), multigravida pregnancy (57.8%), ANC visits ≥8 times (26.5%). And most of them get information from non-media (74.7%). And factors related to knowledge of pregnant women regarding preeclampsia in pregnancy, namely: Education with a value (p: 0.014), History of ANC (p:0.027). At the same time, the factors that are not related to the knowledge of pregnant women regarding preeclampsia are: Age (p: 0.667), Occupation (p: 0.057), Gravida Status (p: 0.558), and Information exposure (p: 0.272). Conclusion: Most of the respondents have good knowledge. Related factors are Education and History of ANC. Factors that are not related are Age, Occupation, Gravida Status and Information Exposure. Recommendations for future researchers: Develop various media methods (innovations) for other health education/education for pregnant women.
