Abstract

Background: Increasing the number of breastfeeding mothers globally has the potential to save the lives of more than 820,000 children under five and can prevent an additional 20,000 cases of breast cancer in women each year. However, in Indonesia, only 1 out of 2 babies under 6 months old gets exclusive breastfeeding, and only a little more than 5% of children are still getting breast milk at the age of 23 months. This ineffective breastfeeding condition makes breastfeeding low so that it can be a threat to the baby, especially for the baby's survival during growth and development. One solution that can help overcome obstacles in exclusive breastfeeding is hypnobreastfeeding. Purpose: Explaining nursing care for post sc mothers with ineffective breastfeeding problems with the application of hypnobreastfeeding in the Rahmah room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: This scientific writing uses a descriptive case study design. The subjects of the case study were 5 post SC mothers who experienced problems with ineffective breastfeeding. Collecting data with observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Objective data protruding nipples and a few blisters, only a little milk comes out and does not drip, the baby looks fussy, the mother’s condition is weak. Results: The results showed that after being given hypnobreastfeeding to the five patients, they experienced an increase in milk droplets/jets and adequate milk supply with an average milk production of 1.2 cc. Conclusion: The innovative action of the hypnobreastfeeding technique is effective in improving the status and ineffectiveness of breastfeeding in post SC mothers.
