Abstract
Background: A serious threat to global health and one of the top ten causes of death, namely diabetes mellitus (DM). DM sufferers in Indonesia are around 1,017,290 or 8.5% of cases in 2018. One of the complications of DM is foot problems. Foot problems include a variety of abnormalities seen with DM such as diabetic ulcers (damaged foot tissue) and changes in peripheral sensation in the feet. One of the non-pharmacological management that can be used is foot exercise. Objective: To describe nursing care for elderly patients with DM with peripheral perfusion risk problems through the application of foot exercises at Palang Biru Kutoarjo Hospital Method: This scientific writing uses a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 5 DM patients who experienced ineffective Peripheral Perfusion Risk problems. Collecting data with observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Results: The results showed in the five DM patients that after being given the relaxation of diabetic foot exercises, the patients experienced a decrease in the neuropathy score (MNSI). Conclusion: The innovative action of diabetic foot exercise is effective in overcoming the Risk of Ineffective Peripheral Perfusion
