Abstract

Backgorund: According to a survey of gadget user data on adolescents in 2021 in Indonesia, 90.54% have cell phones. Gadget is an information tool that can penetrate time and space. The presence of gadgets has contributed to everyday life. Gadgets are much favored by teenagers. Gadgets have positive and negative impacts. The negative impact is that teenagers have addiction, are lazy to study, and are at risk of psychological development Objective: Analyzing the use of gadgets in adolescents on the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks in Jatisari Village. Methods: Quantitative method with correlation design. This research uses a survey method. This sampling technique used purposive sampling technique and obtained a sample of 80 respondents. Data collection using gadget usage questionnaires and developmental tasks. Result: 60.0% of respondents use gadgets in the high category. 51.2% of respondents were in good developmental tasks. This data analysis uses Gamma and Sommers'd. Statistical test results show that there is no relationship between gadget use and the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks in Jatisari Village with a p value = 0.323. Conclusion: There is no relationship between gadget use and the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks in Jatisari Village, Kebumen Subdistrict, Kebumen Regency. Recommendation: Future researchers can conduct research related to the influence of gadget use on the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks.
