Abstract
Background: Based on WHO in 2009 there are nearly 380 million couples implement family planning and 65-75 million of them, especially in developing countries use hormonal contraceptive (pills). But 5 % of the acceptors do not take regularly, and it causes a risk of pregnancy. The effectiveness of pills is getting less if the acceptors do not consume regularly. This is the reason why the writer is interested in applying Lady pill-reminder to help clients remember the time to take a pill and know the time of consuming. Objective: To know the application of drug reminder using android application of Lady pill-reminder, to know the regularity of client in taking the pill, to know the exact time of mother in taking a pill, to know the side effects of the pills. Method: The method used in this scientific paper is descriptive qualitative through case study approach by conducting interviews and observation. The subject was Mrs. M, 28 year-old mother. The study was conducted from April-May 2016. The data processing was done by reducing, presentating and verifying the data. Results: Drug reminder using android (Lady pill-reminder) can be applied to Mrs. M. Based on the results of the lady of pill-reminder on Mrs. M’s mobile phone, the mother always takes the pills every day. While the “on time” of taking pills is not too long from the set time. Conclusion: The application of android ( Lady pill reminder ) can be used to know the regularity and the “on time” of the mother in taking the drugs (pills). And this can help the mother to remember the time when to take the drugs (pills).
