Abstract
Background: Patients with chronic kidney failure (CKD) undergoing hemodialysis must adapt to the disease and its therapy so that it affects the quality of life. Quality of life can be affected by patient demographics, health status, psychological status and hemodialysis adequacy. Purpose: to determine the factors related to the quality of life of CRF patients with routine hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Research method: This type of research uses observational with a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken using the Krejcie table technique, 144 people were obtained. Bivariate analysis with Spearman rank test. Instrument to identify factors related to quality of life. namely questionnaires and observation sheets Results: There is a relationship between gender (p=0.000), education (p=0.026), occupation (0.016) and hemodialysis adequacy (p=0.000) and no relationship between age (p=0.550), marital status (p= 0.600), hemoglobin level (p=0.394), duration of hemodialysis (p=0.534) and co-morbidities (p=0.580) with the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital Conclusion: Factors that influence the quality of life of hemodialysis patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital include gender, education, occupation and hemodialysis adequacy, while factors that have no effect include age, marital status, hemoglobin level, duration of hemodialysis and co-morbidities. Recommendation: Nurses are expected to have strategies to improve the quality of life of hemodialysis patients
