Abstract

Background: The developmental stage of families with school-age children is families who have their first child aged 6 to 13 years. Based on the Ministry of Education and Culture's decision number 7 of 2022, states that currently the Covid-19 pandemic has slowly recovered and a limited face-to-face learning policy has been implemented. Some things have become a new culture after a long time of learning online, namely children's habits with their gadgets. The percentage of children's gadget ownership is 71.3% owned by themselves. Objective: This research uses a case study approach to families with descriptive case study analysis methods. The data collection process used approach techniques, interviews, physical examinations, observations, documentation studies, and questionnaires. This study consisted of 3 respondents from families in Pekuncen village, Rt 02/Rw 03, Sempor sub-district. Results: The results of the case study of the three respondents obtained data that the three respondents said it was difficult to control and change children's behavior in using gadgets so nursing problems arose family process disorders. The implementation given is the provision of education and the application of the Token Economy method. Implementation was carried out for 11 visits within 2 weeks and after evaluation, it was found that the three respondents experienced an increase in knowledge by 11.1% and the application of Token Economy reduced the duration of gadget use by about 1-2 hours. Conclusion: After implementation for 11 visits within 2 weeks, it showed that the three respondents experienced a decrease in the duration of gadget use and increased knowledge. Recommendation: Providing education and applying the Token Economy method can be applied to overcome the problem of family process disorders in families with school-age children's developmental stages.
