Abstract
Background: Among young women in Indonesia, there were many who experience dysmenorrheal pain during menstruation. Such as headaches, dizziness, nausea, pelvic pain similar to cramps and lower abdominal pain. The application of a combination of massage effleurage and administration of lemon aromatherapy was found to be very effective and highly recommended for young women experiencing dysmenorrhea. The author was interested in applying this combination to menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in young women aged 14-19 years. Objective: The objective of the study was to apply a combination massage effleurage and lemon aromatherapy to menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in young women aged 14-19 years. Method: This research was a descriptive analysis with a case study design. The participants consisted of 5 young women aged 14-19 years. The instrument used was a numerical scale observation sheet. Results: After applying the combination of massage effleurage and giving lemon aromatherapy. All participants experienced a decrease in dysmenorrheal pain. On the first day, 3 participants had moderate pain and 2 respondents had mild pain. On the second day all participants experienced mild pain. Conclusion: The study concluded that effleurage massage and lemon aromatherapy could effectively reduce dysmenorrhea in young women aged 14-19 years at PMB Djumi Widarti, S.Tr.Keb
