Abstract
Background: Gastritis is a disease caused by increased stomach acid, resulting in inflammation or inflammation of the gastric mucosa. Gastritis patient will experience heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite. Management of gastritis can be done by administering non-pharmacological therapy, namely curcuma and turmeric boiled water. Purpose: Describe nursing care by applying temulawak and turmeric boiled water therapy in gastritis patients to reduce pain. Methods: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data obtained through interviews and observations. Participants 3 patients with a diagnosis of gastritis. Results: After being treated with temulawak and turmeric boiled water for 5 days, all participants experienced a decrease in pain levels from moderate pain to mild pain. Conclusion: Temulawak and turmeric boiled water therapy is effective in reducing pain levels. Recommendation: Patients with gastritis are advised to continue the therapy program independently until the body returns to normal condition.
