Abstract
Background: Anemia is where the condition of pregnant women with hemoglobin levels below 11 g / dL in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Anemia in pregnancy is generally caused by physiological changes during pregnancy and aggravated by the state of lack of nutritional intake / poor diet. An unbalanced diet will cause an imbalance of nutrients that enter the body and can cause malnutrition or vice versa unbalanced consumption patterns also result in excess of certain nutrients and cause excess nutrition. Objective: Determine the relationship between diet in pregnant women to the incidence of anemia in the Sempor II Health Center Area Method: This type of research quantitative using analytical survey design and cross sectional approach. The study sample was taken using purposive sampling with 70 respondents of III trimester pregnant women. This study questionnaire used dietary questionnaires in pregnant women. Results: In Puskesmas Sempor II obtained data on the distribution of diet of pregnant women with less categories as many as 31 people (38.3%) and obtained data on the distribution of anemia events, pregnant women not anemic as many as 37 people (45.7%). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between diet and the incidence of anemia at Puskesmas Sempor II (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Recommendations ; For the next researchers, are expected to be able to examine the factors associated with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women.
