Abstract
Background: People with hypertension in Indonesia in 2018 reached more than 63 million people. Hypertension is one of the most important health problems in the world because of its high prevalence and its association with cardiovascular disease, stroke, retinopathy, and kidney disease. The main complaint experienced by people with hypertension is usually headache. In addition to using pharmacological methods or by taking drugs, another way that can be done is a nonpharmacological way, namely by the application of aromatherapy and murotal. Objective: Explaining nursing care by administering aromatherapy and murotal to hypertensive patients experiencing acute pain nursing problems. Method: This type of research used quantitative research. The method used in this reseach was descriptive method that will know the picture of variables. The samples 5 of respondents. Results: The administration of aromatherapy and murrotal therapy of the Qur'an can reduce pain in hypertensive patients. patient 1 pretest with a pain scale of 5 (moderate) and decreased with a posttest score of 4 (moderate). Patient 2 pretest with a pain scale of 6 (moderate) and decreased with a posttest score of 3 (mild). Patient 3 pretest with a pain scale of 5 (moderate) and decreased with a posttest score of 4 (moderate). Patient 4 pretest with a pain scale of 6 (moderate) and decreased with a posttest score of 4 (moderate). Patients 5 pretest with a pain scale of 5 (moderate) and decreased with a posttest score of 3 (mild). Conclusion: Evaluation of nursing care in the five patients was a change in the scale of pain between before and after being given aromatherapy and murrotal therapy in the Qur'an. The pain scale of the five patients decreased after being given aromatherapy and murrotal al-Qur'an therapy for 2× the meeting.
