Abstract
Background: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) or heart failure is one of the highest causes of death that has been counted for the last 20 years. Several conditions that occur in heart failure patients are very risky for death, thus affecting the patient's quality of life. Purpose: To determine the factors that affect the quality of life of CHF patients. Method: The method used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design and using a non-experimental design with a correlational study. Result: Based on this study, the results showed that factors including age, sex, body mass index, NYHA classification and length of time diagnosed with CHF affect the quality of life of CHF patients. The main factor that greatly influences the quality of life of CHF patients is age with a significance value of p=0.001. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that based on the results of the study, all the factors studied have an influence on the quality of life of CHF patients. Recommendations: After knowing the factors that affect the quality of life of CHF patients, further researchers can research more specifically related to treatment or focus on improving the quality of life of patients
