Abstract
Background: Based on the 2019 Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) as many as 56.9% of children are not good at choosing food. This can be a nutritional problem in children due to an imbalance between intake and output of nutrients. Providing education on the dangers of junk food by using the snakes and ladders game is quite effective in broadening children's horizons because elementary school children are already familiar with the snakes and ladders game and in terms of an attractive appearance using bright colors will increase children's attention and be interested in following it. Purpose: Describe nursing care to clients by implementing education on the dangers of junk food on children using snakes and ladders game media. Research Method: This scientific writing used a descriptive method with a case report approach. The subjects were 3 grade 5 elementary school students who were given education on the dangers of junk food to children using snakes and ladders game media for two meetings. The measurement instrument uses a questionnaire. Case Study Results: The results of the study of 3 patients found that children did not know about the dangers of junk food. Knowledge deficit nursing diagnoses are associated with less exposure to information. The action was carried out 2x meetings with results education using snakes and ladders game media has proven that this education is effective in increasing children's knowledge. Conclusion: Health education with snakes and ladders media can increase children's knowledge about the dangers of junk food.
