Abstract
Background;. Stroke is a loss of brain function due to cessation or reduced blood supply to the brain, causing local or global nerve function disorders that arise suddenly, progressively, and rapidly. Blood flow that is not smooth in stroke patients can result in hemodynamic disturbances including oxygen saturation. One of the independent nursing actions to increase oxygen saturation is by giving a head up position of 30 degrees. Objective: Describe nursing care by administering 30° head up position therapy in Stroke patients with nursing problems at risk on ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion in the IGD of PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Methods: This scientific work uses a descriptive method with a case study instrument uses a nursing care format, SOP head up 30° and action observation sheets. Data obtained from interviews, physical examinations, and documentation studies. Subjects consisted of 5 adult patients with Stroke with nursing problems at risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion. Resuts of Nursing Care: The results of an assessment conducted on Stroke patients obtained data on the main complaints, namely limb weakness difficulty communicating. The priority nursing diagnosis is the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion characterized by stroke. Nursing inteventions carried out for 3 days, namely management of increased intracranial pressure: monitoring respiratory status, monitoring TTV, monitoring level of consciousness (GCS), positioning the head with an elevation of 30 degrees. Recommendations: It is hoped that giving the Head Up 30° position can be used as an SOP for non pharmacological management of the risk of cerebral perfusion not being effective in stroe patient.
