Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal which can cause morbidity and mortality. So that it can be said to be hypertension if the systolic blood pressure reaches more than 140 mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure reaches more than 90 mmHg persistently after 2 measurements using a tensimeter. One of the complementary therapies that can control blood pressure and pain in hypertensive patients is deep breathing relaxation therapy and dry warm compress therapy. Purpose: Describe nursing care for clients by applying deep breathing relaxation therapy and dry warm compress therapy to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients in Purwodadi Village, Tambak District Method: This Scientific Writing was in the form of a case study with 3 respondents as subjects with a history of hypertension in Purwodadi Village which was carried out for 3 days. To find out if there was a decrease in blood pressure, an evaluation sheet was attached. Results: After being given deep breathing relaxation therapy and dry warm compress therapy for 3 days, the blood pressure of hypertensive patients decreased. Recommendation: Application of deep breathing relaxation therapy and dry warm compress therapy can reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients and can be done independently at home
