Abstract

Background: Infection nursing problems related to invasive procedures in post SC patients can be overcome by modern wound care with honey. It is hoped that it can reduce and accelerate the healing process of post SC wounds. Purpose: To provide nursing care to mothers with postoperative wound infections with surgical wound infection related to invasive procedures with modern honey wound care at UPT Puskesmas Kroya 1. Method: The research method is descriptive with a case study approach. The case study subjects to be studied were 5 post SC patients with the main nursing problem being infections related to invasive procedures. The tools in this study were nursing care formats, observation sheets, wound assessment formats, Wound care SOPs with honey. Presenting the data that the author did by drawing conclusions based on subjective and objective data, which is presented in the method of documentation and nursing care resumes. Results: The results of the study showed that the five patients had the same main complaint, namely the post-op wound smelled, moist, and festered. Priority nursing diagnoses in patients I-V are infections related to invasive procedures as evidenced in the five patients complaining of smelly, moist, festering surgical wounds. The nursing intervention that was carried out was wound care with honey. The implementation of nursing is to treat wounds with honey for 7 days. The results of the nursing evaluation of the five patients showed a reduction in the signs and symptoms of wound infection in the five patients. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for preparing SOPs for the management of post op SC wound patients with infections with modern wound care with honey.
