Abstract

Background: Head injuries are the most common trauma cases that occur every day. WHO states that around 1.2 million people die with a diagnosis of severe head injury that occurs as a result of traffic accidents. The problem that arises in patients with head injuries is ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion. If cerebral tissue perfusion is not treated immediately, there will be an increase in intracranial pressure. Appropriate treatment for the problem of expending ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion is usually carried out by giving the head an elevation position or a 300 head position and administering oxygen. Objective: to explain the treatment of care by administering oxygen and elevation of the head of 300 with the problem of ineffective brain tissue involvement in the Emergency Room of Aghisna Medika Kroya Hospital. Method: This scientific writing uses a descriptive case study design. The subjects of the case study were 5 people with head injuries who experienced sleep pattern disturbances. Collecting data with observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Results: Evaluation of the five CKS patients was obtained after giving a 30 degree Head Up Position and giving O2 therapy according to indications, awareness increased in the 10-12 range. Conclusion: The results of applying the technique of providing O2 therapy and providing a 30 degree Head Up Position to the five patients can improve brain tissue perfusion.
