Abstract
Background: A person who has been diagnosed with hypertension must immediately seek treatment to control blood pressure, and deal with signs and symptoms that appear such as dizziness, headache, and neck pain, one of which is the application of rose aromatherapy and Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman. Objective: Conduct nursing care with the application of rose aromatherapy and Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman in hypertensive patients with acute pain in the emergency room of RSUD dr. Soedirman Kebumen Method: Using a descriptive method with a case study approach. The case study subjects to be studied were 5 hypertensive clients. The instrument is a form of nursing care. Presentation of data is presented in the method of documentation and nursing care resumes Results: The results of the study showed that the main complaint felt was acute pain in the head on a scale of 4-6. The priority nursing diagnosis is acute pain associated with a physiological injurious agent. Nursing interventions and implementation carried out were pain management and application of rose aromatherapy and Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman. The results of the evaluation showed that acute pain was resolved, marked by a decrease in the pain scale, a decrease in pain 1-2. Rose aromatherapy and Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman are effective in reducing pain in hypertensive patients. Recommendation: Aromatherapy of roses and Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman can be used as complementary therapy to treat hypertension
