Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a disease where the systolic blood pressure is more than normal (>140 mmHg). The signs and symptoms that often appear are sleep pattern duet to increased cerebral vascular pressure and impaired oxygen supply to the brain. Non-pharmacological therapy body massage can lower blood pressure by activating the work of the parasympathetic nerves and endophins, so that blood flow becomes smooth duet to vasodilatation of blood vassels. Objective: To Provide an overview of nursing care with the application of body massage in patiens with hypertension with complaints sleep pattern disturbances. Method: The research used case study descriptions that describe the result in a narrative. The respondents' criteria included having a history of hypertension, complaints of mild to moderate sleep pattern, composmetis consciousness and aged more than 35 years, no history of rib or back injury, and taking antihypertensive drugs. Research data obtained from blood pressure monitors and sleep pattern disturbance scales before and after therapy. Results: There was an average decrease in sytolic blood pressure of 10 mmHg after therapy and the sleep pattern disturbance from 39 until 0 on the third day. Recomendation: This therapy is easy to do independently because there are not negative effects and effective for reducing sleep pattern disturbances and pain
